During a Q&A with Ask Anything Chat, BTS answered this fan-submitted question. Jin (Kim Seok Jin), RM (Kim Nam Joon), Suga (Min Yoon Gi), J-Hope (Jung Ho Seok), and V (Kim Tae Hyung) use stage names while Jimin (Park Ji Min) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook) use their real names as their stage names.

V said that he likes combining his names. Jin suggested, “Vhyung,” Jimin said, “Kim V,” and V came up with, “V Taehyung.”

Suga said he doesn’t feel the difference between his stage name and his real name anymore, but his members often call him Suga or Suga hyung. “He used to call me Suga hyung,” he said, referring to Jungkook. “but lately he calls me Yoongi.” On cue, J-Hope and Jungkook shouted, “Yoongi,” laughing.

According to Jin, the members rarely call J-Hope by his real name. Instead, they call him by his nicknames, including Hobi and Hobah. “I call him Hoseokie hyung,” Jungkook added.

At BTS’s press conference for “Butter,” J-Hope revealed that Jungkook called him by another cute nickname: Bbaa!
