NCT Dream’s Jaemin And TVXQ’s Changmin Swear By A Spice That’ll Take Your Ramen To The Next Level
When it comes to making a simple dish that even the most inexperienced chefs can make, ramen is the way to go. Everyone can heat up water, tip in the noodles, and add the seasoning for a quick meal or snack.
If you want to make it a little fancier, you can add an egg and some fresh ingredients. To level it up from basic to brilliant, there’s an ingredient that TVXQ‘s Changmin and NCT Dream‘s Jaemin swear by.
During an interview with iHeartRadio‘s Stacy Nam, she asked Changmin if there was anything special he added to his ramen. He revealed there was, “For me, ah, yes. There is this. Recently for me, at the very end, vegetable. Cilantro.”
That was the last ingredient Stacy expect, making a surprised face. Changmin explained that it was tastier than it sounds, “It’s really delicious, noona.”
Still, Stacy didn’t seem too fond of the idea. With a sad look, Changmin convinced her she couldn’t knock it until she had a taste of it, “Hey… You should try it.” He’s not the only one who agrees with the cilantro in ramen agenda.
In NCT Dream’s appearance on Idol Room, Jaemin showed everyone how he enjoys his ramen. Based on his tastes, they’d prepared a heaping plate of fresh cilantro.
With the bowl of ramen beside it, he knees precisely what to do next. He took a massive chunk of cilantro with his chopsticks.
Jaemin placed it right on top of the ramen. Not only was Jung Hyung Don shook by the food pairing, so was the rest of NCT Dream. Even though they’d seen him do it before, Renjun and Jeno were not here for it.
Making it just the way he liked it, Jaemin stirred the noodles with the cilantro. There was so much cilantro in the dish that everyone joked it was “cilantro with a side of ramen.”
Whether you want to sprinkle some cilantro to your ramen like Changmin or drown it in the spice like Jaemin, it seems like something you’ll have to try at least once.
They may be onto the next ramen craze. Watch Changmin convince you to give it a try here.
