NCT DREAM’s Jeno And Super Junior’s Donghae Earn Praise From Netizens For Completely Opposite Reasons
Super Junior‘s Donghae and NCT DREAM‘s Jeno have had a long history in the entertainment industry.
Super Junior recently released their 11th album, The Road: Keep On Going, and they are coming up on their 17th anniversary.
Donghae became a trainee after winning a prize at SM Entertainment‘s “Youth Best Contest” in 2001. He made his debut in 2005 with Super Junior and has been active in the industry as a singer, songwriter, and actor ever since.
NCT DREAM’s Jeno was born in 2000, one year before Donghae won SM Entertainment’s contest and became a trainee, but has had an impressively long career.
Jeno began his career as a child actor and model, even starring in a well-known Seoul Milk commercial when he was younger.
Jeno was announced as an SM Rookie in 2013 and made his debut in 2016 with NCT DREAM. Despite their age gap, the SM Entertainment labelmates Donghae and Jeno have formed a close friendship and often meet up in their free time.
Donghae shared with fans that he and Jeno had recently met up for a meal, causing fans to reflect on their sunbae-hoobae friendship that’s spanned nearly ten years.
The two idols were first seen together after Jeno was introduced as an SM Rookie. They appeared together in Donghae’s Self-Camera in 2013. When Jeno’s first SM Rookie photos were released, fans said his facial features were a mix of Donghae and f(x)‘s Amber. Donghae and Jeno seemed to document their similarities by taking a photo together.
In 2021, Donghae and Jeno even collaborated on a song together called “California Love,” giving fans an updated picture of the idols eight years after their first photo.
After Donghae shared he had gone for a meal with Jeno, the two gained attention for two completely opposite reasons.
Fans pointed out how much Jeno had grown up and how much Donghae hadn’t seemed to age. Photos from 2008, 2013, and 2022 show that Donghae looks as youthful as ever.
In contrast, Jeno has grown up in front of the camera, appearing in commercials as young as five years old, so Jeno’s appearance is expectedly dramatically different.
While Donghae was praised for remaining eternally youthful, Jeno is praised for his growth through the years, with fans comparing their recent visuals to that of brothers.
Fans loved the update from Donghae and were thrilled to see Jeno and Donghae’s endearing friendship continues to live on.
