NCT’s Mark Celebrates One Year Since His First Instagram Post With A Little Help From Taeyong
One year ago today, NCT‘s Mark uploaded his first post to his individual Instagram account.
It was a simple photo of him leaning against a wall and posing.
Followed by him pretending to run towards the camera.
Mark simply captioned his post “get set. go,” which is a pun with his username @onyourm__ark (like “on your mark”).
Over the course of the year that Mark has had his Instagram, his fans have appreciated not only the many aesthetic and funny posts the idol has shared, but they’ve taken particular enjoyment with his captions.

His captions include puns other than ones related to his username. Captioning a golfing post with “swinging your problems away.”
He writes playful, positive captions about “flipping the world” but still smiling.
He gives wise, albeit somewhat strange, advice to his fans. Warning them to “never trust a floating heart in the middle of the woods.”
He is inclusive of everyone and everything. Which apparently includes white brick walls.
He even speculates about life, wondering if a long arm span means that he “should spread [his] wings more.”
And wonders if winter actually has a secret goal to get us all to bundle up and be cozy.
And he even gives some heartfelt, meaningful words that fans can rely on.
Like when he reminded fans that it was never too late to try.
Or when he encouraged fans to keep “breaking records” by taking leaps of faith.
Needless to say, Mark has absolutely kept his fans entertained with his every update to the app in the past year.
And his celebratory post, on the same day, a year later, that he made his first post, Mark came through once again and surprised and delighted his fans with another witty post.
He uploaded two photos with identical poses to his first post.
First, him posing.
And then him pretending to run.
But in the celebratory post, Mark included a third photo of him posing with his fellow NCT member Taeyong.
The two look like they both had fun together, pretending to run.
And his caption also acknowledged the mimicry. Not only labeling it the 2nd but with the added “this time [with Taeyong].”
Fans can look forward to what more entertaining captions the idol will upload in the future.
