At the time of its release, Real bombed at the box office despite having a huge production budget, an enviable star cast, and considerable hype prior to its release. Back then, critics were scathing in their rebuke of the incoherent storyline and execution. But it’s only now that the general public has started noticing the issues with the movie beyond those aspects. Recently, the involvement of Kim Soo Hyun’s rumored half-brother in the movie, as well as the decision to capitalize on Sulli‘s nude scene to market the project, have become hot topics while discussing Real.

Amid this, many netizens are looking back at the various female roles in the movie that were played by some of the biggest names in the industry. A recent viral post compiled all the actresses who appeared in Real, pointing out the similar nature of their casting.

Suzy played a tattoo artist in the movie and her screen time was barely 5 seconds. But according to behind-the-scenes interviews, she sat through hours of makeup only to for such an insignificant cameo, that even brought her negative publicity.

Wonder Girls’ Sohee

Despite being a member of one of the top girl groups at that time, Sohee was given another insignificant role in the film. She also appeared for a few seconds in the background of a scene dressed up as a maid.

A high-profile celebrity like IU was also a mere background character in the film. She portrayed an award show assistant, standing on the stage for a few seconds without any dialogue.

SISTAR’s Dasom

Dasom’s role was so obscure that many didn’t even notice her on screen. She played a rehabilitation therapist and was spotted for only a moment while she stood in the background, nearly blurred out.

Nine Muses’ Kyungri

Kyungri played a waitress in the film, appearing for only a few seconds on screen while her character had no impact on the scene.
