2009 was a great time for K-Pop. Second-generation idol groups were taking the world by storm, building a name for the industry we know today.
In commemoration of that period, netizens have uncovered a list of the top ten digital songs of 2009 on Melon.
Topping the list is “Gee” by Girls’ Generation followed by “Abracadabra” by Brown Eyed Girls and “Bo Peep Bo Peep” by T-Ara.
2ne1, KARA, Super Junior, SHINee, 4Minute, and G-Dragon also made it on top.
A similar list at a later month showed the same songs plus some.
All entries were definitely iconic and stood the test of time. Netizens commented about how every song was recognizable even until today.
