Team Dae IRL: Netizens Believe “XO, Kitty” Stars Anna Cathcart And Choi Min Young Are Dating In Real Life
Spoiler Alert
Netizens believe that XO, Kitty stars Anna Cathcart and Choi Min Young (also romanized as Choi Min Yeong) are dating in real life.
The anticipated spin-off series of Netflix‘s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise, adapted from Jenny Han‘s novels, premiered in May. It focused on Lara Jean (Lana Condor)’s little sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart) and her self-discovery journey in Seoul, South Korea.
In the third film, To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Kitty and her family took a trip to South Korea to reconnect with their deceased mother’s ancestry. During the visit, Kitty met Dae (Jeon Ho Young), who became her boyfriend.

Although Kitty returned home to the U.S., she and Dae kept in touch despite the time difference. So, in XO, Kitty, she convinced her dad, Dr. Dan Covey (John Corbett), to let her attend the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS), as not only her mom attended it, but Dae did too.
Dae was recast for the series with rising actor, Choi Min Young, from the hit K-Drama Twenty Five Twenty One. You might recognize him as Baek Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk)’s younger brother.
While Dae was Kitty’s longtime boyfriend, even though they were long distance and she had been convinced they were meant for each other, she found herself in more than a love triangle. The girl ended up with three love interests by the end of the series!
In the finale, Dae and Kitty had amicably broken up, leaving it open to who she really ends up with in the end. XO, Kitty was recently confirmed for a second season, so viewers are curious to find out who is endgame.
While we might not know the fate of Dae and Kitty yet, netizens suspect they know who is a couple IRL…
XO, Kitty fans suspect that Kitty and Dae’s actors Anna Cathcart and Choi Min Young might actually be dating in real life.
Choi Min Young didn’t just prove to be a good friend by wishing Anna Cathcart a “happy birthday” via Instagram Stories…
Recently, he shared photos seemingly celebrating XO, Kitty‘s renewal. Yet, all the photos were of him and Anna…
It was also hard to ignore that some photos were not just from filming the series. It appeared that some pictures were personal. It included them hanging out during private schedules, and they appeared noticeably close.
Also, Choi Min Young’s caption was particularly cute. He combined his and Anna’s name (like a ship name for a couple) to create the Korean word for “hello,” Annyeong.

That’s not all, though. Previously, Choi Min Young posted a compilation video of his and Anna Cathcart’s not-so-secret handshake in response to a reporter asking him if he and she were “not close.”
Anna Cathcart, Jenny Han, and Sang Heon Lee (Minho in XO, Kitty) left comments on the video. Fans also could not deny the chemistry.
Anna and the official Instagram account for XO, Kitty shared videos of the cute handshake too. We also couldn’t help but recognize that the audio used was SEVENTEEN‘s “Darl+ing,” the song playing when Dae and Kitty finally reunited in the show!
While Anna has only shared promotional posts related to XO, Kitty lately, she did share an especially adorable photo with Choi Min Young last year. Now tell us this doesn’t give couple vibes!
Since Choi Min Young’s posts featuring Anna Cathcart, netizens can’t stop shipping them, and this includes even those who ship Kitty with Minho in the show! Some fans are suspicious that Min Young and Anna are already dating.
If it was not enough that XO, Kitty fans thought his posts were “too cute,” their co-stars and Kitty’s on-screen love interests, in-real-life siblings, Gia Kim and Sang Heon Lee, commented, sharing similar sentiments! Peter Thurnwald, who portrayed teacher Alex Finnerty, and Jocelyn Shelfo, who portrayed classmate Madison, also commented.
Other than that, nothing is confirmed. No matter what, we wish the best for the actors and will look forward to XO, Kitty Season 2!
