NewJeans’ Haerin Is Gaining Attention For Closely Resembling An Iconic Anime Character—And Now We Can’t Unsee It
NewJeans‘ Haerin continues to amaze fans with her visuals!
The 16-year old singer may have just debuted a few months ago but she’s already easily recognizable. For instance, she is often called a cat due to her upwards tilting eyes.
This is not the only time she has been compared to something or someone else. The most recent addition that is making the rounds online is her resemblance to an iconic Japanese cartoon character. The viral tweet showed a side-by-side comparison of her and Sawako from the romance manga-slash-anime Kimi Ni Todoke.

Their similarities were hard to miss! The most obvious was of course how they often sport the same long, black hair and straight bangs.
They also boast of small v-shaped faces and big eyes.
As fans pointed out, even their fashion sense was alike insofar as their love for white blouses go.
Finally, it is their aura that ties up their similar images in a neat bow. Both Haerin and Sawako look like the quiet, sweet, and unassuming girl next door type who people can’t help but fall for the more they look at them!
Kimi Ni Todoke (2005-2017) is as a Japanese romance manga by Karuho Shiina. It follows the love story of the misunderstood Sawako and popular Kazehaya.
