As BLACKPINK kicks off the promotions for their upcoming second full-length album after pre-releasing their single “Pink Venom,” the members have been seen at the airport more frequently. In late August, they even made their first full-group appearance at the airport for the first time in three years.

The members recently departed for Los Angeles ahead of their album release. They gave fans plenty of memorable events, including the playful moment that went viral between Jisoo and Jennie that was caught on camera.

Videos captured showed the magnitude of their star power with flashes of camera lights constantly going off in the background as media and fans attempted to capture every detail.

In reviewing the content from BLACKPINK’s recent airport appearance, fans brought up a funny moment from March this year.

After attending fashion shows in Paris and Hawaii, Jennie flew home to media staked out at the airport. As the popular Korean news outlet Newsen set up their live stream waiting for Jennie’s arrival, they inadvertently captured another mystery idol returning home from a separate trip due to setting up their cameras early.

While passengers were walking by, EXO‘s D.O passed by the camera seemingly unnoticed in his baseball cap and face mask.

After the mystery idol was spotted in the footage, the headlines hilariously played out the confirmation of D.O’s identity in real-time.

He was returning from his own overseas travels, so the media wasn’t expecting to see him that day.

When the camera crew realized D.O had just passed them, they removed their camera from its tripod and ran through the airport to find the idol again.

The lucky reporter was unexpectedly able to get footage of D.O with his manager just in time to return and catch Jennie’s arrival, which happened at a later time. It seems setting up their camera early paid off for the news outlet!
