Where Are They Now? The Confusing Fate Of The Group Who Bet They Would Sell 100 Albums Or Disband
Many K-Pop artists debut each year, and while there are many success stories, not every group sees easy success. It has been well-documented that idols under smaller agencies often struggle for years to find popularity.

It is also not uncommon for groups to use some attention-grabbing gimmick to get more eyes on their releases.
Last year, a female idol attracted attention to her group by sharing that she had bet their CEO that they would sell 100 albums or disband.
Girl’s World debuted in 2022 under Liz Entertainment with the title track “Rapunzel.” The lineup consisted of four members: A-Ra, Windy, Kyrin, and HARi.
The bet came into play before the group’s second album was released. A-Ra shared on her private Instagram account that she “confidently” told the CEO of Liz Entertainment that they could sell 100 copies.
She admitted putting the group’s “third album on the line” as collateral—if they did reach this goal, they would have another comeback and essentially disband.
Netizens rallied behind the group, creating such a big demand for the album that Liz Entertainment began offering a way for international fans to order the album.

With the release of “Fly High (Thumbelina),” many were hopeful the girl group would be able to hit the required amount to stay a group.
This is where the confusion comes in on the group’s current status.
Liz Entertainment released a notice saying that the change for the release date for “Fly High” was due to twins Windy and Kyrin departing from the group. The notice mentioned that the two were involved with “small and big problems” and would be replaced by new members.
Members being replaced in groups is not an unusual occurrence and this notice did confirm the group’s future plans.
However, instead of a notice about new members joining the group, A-Ra announced that she would be the next to leave in March 2024. Adding to the confusion, Liz Entertainment instead stated that she was on an indefinite hiatus and that HARi expressed a desire to debut in a new group.
Hello. This is Liz Entertainment.
Despite the internal friction among members, the company has been tirelessly leading and protecting “Girl’s World”.
However, Hari desired to launch a new girl group under a different name, and the headquarters, respecting that opinion, decided to reflect it.
Currently, Hari is on vacation in Japan until the new team is launched, taking a break.
The headquarters continues to select new members through auditions and is making efforts for the formation and preparation of Hari’s new team.
Furthermore, due to health reasons, Ara requires rest and treatment, so we inform you of her temporary indefinite suspension of activities.
Although the four members of Girls’ World (Windy, Kairin, Ara, Hari) cannot be together, Girls’ World will not disband but will soon greet you as Girls’ World 2nd Generation with a new member lineup.— Liz Entertainment
This surely spelled out disbandment for Girl’s World in the eyes of many fans, who seemed to accept their fate.
However, on June 11, Girl’s World with a line-up of Windy, Kyrin, and an unknown person, were filmed performing.

With this latest development, it does seem like Girl’s World will be continuing on even if things aren’t entirely clear!
