The One Huge Issue BLINK Sometimes Have With BLACKPINK’s Concerts
For the most part, BLACKPINK fans that attended the group’s BORN PINK world tour had high praise for their performances!

Though there were some videos going around that left some people questioning if the members had enough time to practice together for the tour, they were few and far between. And with a K-Pop girl group as popular as BLACKPINK, it isn’t surprising to see them getting unfairly hated on just for being successful.

Despite the overall good reception from BLINKs towards their concerts, however, there does seem to be one downside that many fans have mentioned and agreed on.
On a Reddit thread asking for fans’ honest opinions on the concerts that they’ve attended, there were a number of people who brought up the length of the concert.
On average, most K-Pop concerts tend to last from 2.5-3 hours, with a little additional time for breaks and interludes. And considering the high price of concert tickets for the bigger artists in the industry, you definitely want to get as much time for your money as possible!
BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK concert tickets were particularly expensive, which makes the fact that fans are claiming the show is only two hours long — breaks included — disappointing many.

Prices for the tickets wen for a couple hundred to over a thousand dollars for front-row seats, so it made sense why fans would expect a longer concert that included most of BLACKPINK’s discography. However, many songs from The Album in particular weren’t included in the concert, and also that some songs that were performed were even been shortened.

Here’s a look at the setlist for one of their concerts in Seoul.
Considering that the BLACKPINK members themselves likely weren’t in charge of how many songs they had to perform for their concerts, the frustration about their short showtimes isn’t aimed towards the idols themselves.
And overall, it sounds like the reception to their first couple of concerts in the U.S. has been great despite the short time, with all of the members putting as much energy and enthusiasm into their performances as possible!

We hope that BLACKPINK and BLINKs continue to have a great time at future BLACKPINK concerts!
