Park Myung Soo Is Still Apologizing To IU For Something He Did In 2010
Soloist IU was recently a guest on Yoo Jae Suk‘s YouTube talk show, Pinggyego, to celebrate the release of her highly-anticipated 6th mini-album, The Winning.
Comedian Yang Se Chan joined IU and Yoo Jae Suk for the special episode, and together, they discussed the times they’ve crossed paths, their lifestyles, and more.
During the episode, they also revealed why veteran DJ and comedian Park Myung Soo still feels apologetic toward IU for something he had done in 2010.
Yoo Jae Suk confessed that when he thought of IU, he thought of the first time she had met Park Myung Soo.
On July 13, 2009, Park Myung Soo released “Naengmyeon” or “Cold Noodles” with former Girls’ Generation member Jessica for the popular show Infinite Challenge.
IU joined Park Myung Soo on stage to perform the hit song at the Jisan Valley Rock Festival in 2010, only two years after her debut.
When she met Park Myung Soo before the performance, he had teasingly said to “bring Jessica” instead.
Yoo Jae Suk admitted that the veteran star’s teasing didn’t faze IU despite acknowledging that it could have been a nerve-wracking situation for any young star. He shared that he was impressed by her response.
Yoo Jae Suk said that after IU “became a huge star,” Park Myung Soo began frequently apologizing to her.
IU revealed that every time she meets Park Myung Soo, he still apologizes to her for their first meeting, even now, 13 years later.
