The “Penthouse 3” Cast Give Hints On The Chaotic And Surprising Nature Of The New Season
Spoiler Alert
Before the new season premiered, The Penthouse 3 cast held an online press conference!
The Penthouse is a series about families who live in a luxury apartment complex and the ambitions and greed surrounding property and child education. The third season picks up with the Hera Palace villains in prison.
Bong Tae Gyu (Lee Gyu Jin) said that this doesn’t dull the series, as there are quite a few intense situations in prison. He revealed that there would be stories of affection, love, and even world peace. Eugene (Oh Yoon Hee) commented, “I felt some discomfort when those who hadn’t fully atoned for their sins were able to come out and spread their wings. I thought [prison] would be the end, but the story isn’t over yet. This season, Oh Yoon Hee will be striving to achieve justice.”
When I read the script for season three, I said, ‘Seo Jin, you can’t be like this.’ I was really shocked at what I read. In the first and second season, I have a line like, ‘I’m Cheon Seo Jin’ and Cheon Seo Jin will continue to be Cheon Seo Jin. Please look forward to what evil deeds she gets up to next. I tried to regain that sense of pompous villainy she had in season one and intensify her greed.

Lee Ji Ah (Shim Soo Ryeon and Na Ae Gyo) shared that she is expecting an even more shocking ending for this season. She asked fans to keep this phrase in mind, “Do I still seem like Shim Soo Ryeon to you?” Meanwhile, Yoon Jong Hoon (Ha Yoon Chul) revealed that the characters’ relationships would change significantly, and there will be many emotions.
When asked about the relationship between the characters Baek Joon Gi (On Joo Wan) and Yoo Dong Pil (Park Ho San), Uhm Ki Joon (Joo Dan Tae) said, “I can’t tell you because it would be a spoiler.” He shared that he doesn’t think it will be revealed in the first few episodes, so fans may have to wait.
Along the line of relationships, Kim Young Dae (Joo Seok Hoon) said that the relationship between Joo Seok Hoon and Bae Ro Na (Kim Hyun Soo) has definitely gotten stronger. However, Kim Hyun Soo countered this by saying that the two will endure many difficulties this season.
The cast then brought up their previous promise they made if the first episode surpassed 20.8% in viewership ratings. Last season ended with 21.5%, 25.2%, and 25.8%, while the highest rating across both seasons was 29.2%.
Before the first season, we promised that we would go volunteering together if we got good ratings, but we weren’t able to due to COVID-19. Now that vaccination has begun, we hope that things will have improved by the time the show ends. If we set a new personal best in ratings at that time, it would be meaningful to fulfill that old promise.
