"Penthouse" Actress Reveals Look For New Role In "Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938," But Netizens Can't Unsee One Thing

After three years, the popular K-Drama, Tale Of The Nine-Tailed, is set to return for season two.

The show’s second season will act as a prequel to the first. The show will follow returning character Lee Yeon (portrayed by actor Lee Dong Wook), time traveling to 1938, where he meets with his brother Lee Rang (portrayed by actor Kim Bum), and a new character, Ryu Hong Joo.

It was previously announced that actress Jo Bo Ah, who played Nam Ji Ah in season one, would not be returning for a main role in season two, but would reportedly be making a cameo.

Instead, there will be a new leading lady, Penthouse actress Kim So Yeon, who recently gave fans a first look at her new character, Ryu Hong Joo.

The talented 42-year-old actress is known for her stunning, youthful, and elegant visuals.

In the first photos released ahead of season two’s premiere on May 6, 2023, Kim So Yeon transforms into a former western mountain guardian spirit.

Her signature look in her new role appears to be a red lip with dark, outlined eyes. Her outfits are glamorous and range from traditional to more modern upscale outfits.

The new photos are increasing excitement for the second season, but netizens have noticed one detail they can’t unsee.
