Viewers already love the show, whether for the brutal competitions…
Best thing on #Netflix right now. You can't change my mind.
I'd watch it anyway even if random 100 fit Koreans participated but fact that each of them have a profile, & a bloody good one, makes it insatiable.
Real life Squid Game but better.

Although only two episodes have been released so far, with Netflix slated to release the next two episodes on January 31, three contestants sat down with Netflix Korea‘s YouTube channel to give viewers behind-the-scenes information. Fitness YouTuber Shim Eu Ddeum, famous dancer and Single’s Inferno contestant Cha Hyun Seung, and bodybuilder Ma Sun Ho admitted that they were nervous to see the show’s episodes.
While watching the show, the three talked about everything from how the sculptures of their bodies aren’t as good as their actual physiques…
… To who some of the most unexpected contestants were.
The three contestants also talked about the surprising difficulty of filming the show: waiting. Although recovery time is essential when pushing your body to the extreme, between the first contest and the death matches, there was a lot of waiting time, as there were 50 matches to get through.
Even though they didn’t have to physically exert themselves while waiting, the contestants actually became “exhausted” with how long they had to wait for their matches.
Ma Sun Ho explained that some energetic people, like Shim Eu Ddeum, spent the time “walking around.”
But some of the “big and muscular people” instead wanted to rest whenever possible.
To effectively use the waiting time, especially since once their match began, they needed insane amounts of energy, Shim Eu Ddeum even held a group “stretching lesson.”
But of course, with Netflix’s dynamic editing, there are no breaks for viewers who are watching every intense match unfold one after another.
