Popular Actress No Longer Wants To Be A Sex Symbol

A famous sexy actress is putting her foot down when it comes to her image.

Amy Yip is a Hong Kong actress who was known as the local industry’s leading sex symbol in the 1980s and 1990s.

She is best known for her roles in the films Erotic Ghost Story (1990) and Sex and Zen (1991).

The 1994 movie Underground Judgement was her last project. She reportedly quit the industry so she could spend more time with her partner, Dr. Sammy Lui, who passed away in 2018.

Amy was largely absent from the public eye until this tragic incident. Afterwards, she reconnected with old friends in the industry who encouraged her to attend more social events. She has since changed her mind about never returning to the small or big screens.

I am open to it. I still enjoy acting. If there’s a good script for a TV drama, I will accept it. The most important thing is to have roles to play. However, returning to acting carries a lot of pressure. With so many new talents emerging, the competition is fierce.

The 57-year old Hong Kong actress is still confident in her looks, boasting a 21-inch waist and a body that still fits into her tiny clothes from decades ago.

I often work out, do sit-ups and jog. Currently, I weigh 90 pounds (about 40.8kg) and have a 21-inch waist. I can fit into my clothes from way back.

Though she’s open to acting once more, Amy has drawn the line at doing anything seductive on camera. She shared that she’s “tired” of the sexy pictorials and scenes, saying she’s done “too many in the past.”
