The Real Reason Kim Seon Ho Accepted His Role In “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”
There are many reasons why an actor accepts a role, including being drawn to the script, feeling the urge to try a different genre, and, for Kim Seon Ho, wanting to grab the opportunity to work with Shin Min Ah!
He explained that very reason in an interview with Netflix Korea, where he and Shin Min Ah were asked, “Why did you choose Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha?”
Shin Min Ah revealed that she simply wanted to act in a rom-com again, such as her 2010 K-Drama with Lee Seung Gi, My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho.
She read the script for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and loved how funny it was.
I wanted to go back to romantic comedy. I came across this, and it was so funny, so I chose it.

On the other hand, Kim Seon Ho chose the drama for two reasons. For one, he was drawn to its realistic story and comfortable setting.
I liked the comfortable and relaxed feeling of ordinary settings.

The main reason, however, is because he wanted to work with Shin Min Ah! When he heard that she accepted the role of the female lead, it was an easy decision for him to make. He just had to participate, no doubt about it!
Above all, I heard Shin Min Ah will be there, so I had to participate.

Upon hearing his words, Shin Min Ah looked touched. She smiled brightly and clapped her hands.
We can’t help but love how open Kim Seon Ho is about being Shin Min Ah’s fan!
