The Reason MAMAMOO’s Hwasa Made MONSTA X’s Joohoney This Promise

At the end of a recent episode of rapper Lee Young Ji‘s YouTube show No Prepare, she and MONSTA X‘s Joohoney discussed the next guest.

Though the audience didn’t know who the guest was at the time, Joohoney revealed that he had once let this person borrow something of his on an airplane.

This intrigued viewers, but they only had to wait a week to find out that the next guest was MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa!

Lee Young Ji, knowing the information Joohoney had already disclosed, mentioned to Hwasa that Joohoney had been a guest on the show the week prior. Hwasa told Lee Young Ji that she knew Joohoney from seeing him on TV and from promotions for music shows.

Lee Young Ji dramatically stood up and shouted, “I got you!” 

Poor Hwasa was adorably, and understandably, confused.

Lee Young Ji then reminded Hwasa that she had once given Joohoney a piece of candy!

The candy in question was Malang Cow, a soft and chewy milk flavored treat.

Hwasa was still confused, until Lee Young Ji then said, “You borrowed his charger!” 

Hwasa reacted hilariously, seemingly, as the memory dawned on her.

It turns out that Hwasa had once borrowed Joohoney’s charger and in return had given him one piece of candy. When Lee Young Ji questioned why she had only given him one, Hwasa clarified that it was all she had at the time.

Hwasa promised that next time, she would give Joohoney a whole bag of candy.
