Red Velvet Irene’s Advice To Help Wendy Grow Up Shows Her True Personality
Irene is the beautiful eldest member of the K-Pop girl group Red Velvet. Her other members, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri, often rely on her to take care of them and give them advice, which has also led to her being called the “mother” of the team.
As the group leader, Irene also does her best to guide all the members. Wendy revealed just how important she was for their growth by sharing the great advice Irene gave her in the most recent season of their online reality show Level Up Project!
In the episode, the Red Velvet members enjoyed a meal together while reminiscing about how far they had come since their debut. Wendy brought up how she tried so hard in everything when they first began and how much pressure she put on herself because of that.
She also shared the wise words Irene said to her to calm down, “No one can be good at something at first. It’s fine to be clumsy.”
Like a true mother, she balanced her kind words with tough love by adding, “Don’t cry here.”
True enough, in season 1 of Level Up Project!, Irene was shown encouraging Wendy to be more proud of herself for trying new things even if she didn’t immediately succeed.
Wendy then tried to wrap things up by saying the whole group had grown up nicely, but Irene ruined the mood by mishearing “Embarrassing” as “Embossing!”
Joy also pointed out that they were acting like they were past their prime despite only being in their late 20s. Like true best friends, they couldn’t stay serious for long.
Irene truly represents what it means to be a firm and caring leader. ReVeluvs are looking forward to more moments like this in future episodes of Level Up Project!
