Red Velvet’s Seulgi Fangirls Over A Special Guest During A Video Call Fansign
Red Velvet‘s Seulgi recently caught attention for her adorable reaction in a fan call with a ReVeLuv, where it seemed like the role of idol and fan were reversed.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, many events and schedules for K-Pop idols were drastically altered to adjust to a safer normal. Instead of their usual in-person concerts and events, entertainment companies shifted to holding more virtual events.
One of the virtual events that began to rise in popularity is video call fansign events.
The video calls have opened up opportunities for fans around the world to be able to meet some of their favorite artists virtually and have led to many viral moments.
With the virtual fansigns, fans have a unique chance to have a more interactive experience with K-Pop artists that they might not have at an in-person fansign. Fans have had idols pick out their concert outfits, they’ve introduced their pets, showed off their artwork, and even taken idols on virtual trips!
During Red Velvet’s “Birthday” promotions, the group held a virtual fansign event, and one of their fans surprised Seulgi with a special guest during their call.
What started as a normal call quickly revealed itself to be anything but when the fan panned the camera and showed that they were standing in front of a panda exhibit. Seulgi excitedly clapped, looking touched by the fan’s touching gesture.
Seulgi turned into the ultimate fangirl and even asked if she could take a picture of the pandas.
She ended the call, expressing her gratitude to the fan for the special experience. The fan call and Seulgi’s adorable reaction warmed the hearts of over 300,000 netizens after the clip went viral.
