RM’s Visit To Koo House Museum Left A Deep Impression On Its Curator
BTS‘s leader is currently touring the art world while on vacation. One particular visit made an impact a museum curator.
In August, RM visited Koo House, a contemporary art and design museum located in Yangpyeong. Recently, a curator for Koo House shared a story about RM on their official Instagram account.
The curator started off the post by describing what RM was wearing that day: a checkered shirt, shorts, running shoes, a baseball cap, and a fanny pack bag over his shoulder.
According to the curator, RM strolled leisurely through Koo House, taking time to appreciate each artwork. He carefully read the descriptions and discussed the pieces in depth with the friend who had accompanied him.
RM was particularly interested in a bench by George Nakashima, one of his favorite furniture designers. The curator noticed him touching the bench and sitting on it as well. RM owns several pieces by George Nakashima, including this walnut table in his studio.
As the curator watched RM, they came to understand more about BTS’s sincerity as a group.
From RM’s true appreciation for the arts, I came to understand the sincerity and influence that BTS’s music and beliefs have globally.
— Curator
The curator felt thankful for RM’s visit and how he has used his worldwide influence to pave the way, not just for K-Pop, but for the arts.
I was very glad RM came to see Koo House. He is a world star with an incredible fandom, who uses music to transcend nationality, language, and physical barriers. His passion for art creates wider channels for museums to communicate with more people.
