Seo Ye Ji Was Once Pressured Into Inhaling Actual Smoke For A Scene Where Her Character Tried To Take Her Own Life
In a past interview of actors Seo Ye Ji and Kim Jae Wook of the 2015 film, Another Way, a shocking story was revealed regarding the scene where Seo Ye Ji’s character tried to take her own life.
When the reporter mentioned a particular scene that shocked viewers due to how realistic the acting was, Seo Ye Ji confessed that it looked real… because it was.
Seo Ye Ji shared,
The director wanted me to actually inhale smoke from burning coal during filming.

And although Seo Ye Ji agreed to do it, she was soon faced with excruciating pain.
Because I inhaled it with a clear mind, I felt like I was literally going to die. I couldn’t even act properly.

It was so painful that she tried to convince the director out of it, but in the end, she decided to see it through and filmed the scene 8 times in the course of 40 long minutes.
Seo Ye Ji added that once they finished filming the devastating scene, every single staff member was grimacing and even the director looked sorry.
Sure, the end result was riveting and spectacular, but netizens are shocked after realizing the lengths Seo Ye Ji took to make the scene that much more convincing.
