In the video, Jungkook and Han So Hee play the roles of two lovers in a constant push-and-pull with each other. Their chemistry was undeniable, earning praise from fans.

While in the video, Jungkook and Han So Hee’s characters were in total conflict about the relationship, how different or similar are the stars in their real-life perspective of romance?

With seniority in the industry, the BTS members answering typical questions like their ideal type or romantic aspirations have become a rarity. But looking back, Jungkook has often hinted that he is a hopeless romantic kind of a person. By now, most of his fans know that IU is his ideal type. But newer fans might not be aware that he dreamed of a movie-like kiss with his future partner when he was younger.

During BTS’s rookie era, a younger Jungkook had expressed his wish to experience a kiss like the movie Love 911.

In a movie called 반창꼬 (Love 911), there is a scene where the movie character lifts up his girl with both hands and kisses her. I want to experience that at least once before I die.

Jungkook once also shared that he believed he would hear bell sounds when he meets his soulmate, just like he saw in the Japanese animated movie Your Name.

When it comes to dating, he also appears to be the possessive type, as evident from the infamous perilla leaf debate. Jungkook has zero patience for any leaf-peeling incidents between his hypothetical partner and a third person.

But when it comes to marriage, Jungkook of the past had all the patience in the world. During a fansign, when all the BTS members were asked what age they would want to get married at, the BTS maknae answered, “100!”

On the other hand, Han So Hee had a completely different perspective that she talked about more recently. In 2020, her acting career saw a meteoric rise with the drama, The World of the Marriedwhere she played the role of a woman committing adultery with a married man.

Though her performance as the home-wrecking Da Kyung kickstarted her rise as one of the top actresses in the industry, it also took its toll. During an interview in 2020, Han So Hee revealed that playing such a role was very difficult for her, and the realistic portrayal of how complicated a marriage can turn into brought an aversion toward marriage in her.

I don’t think I can get married. It’s not just because of adultery. Between the characters, Go Ye Rim and Son Jae Hyuk, there was suspicion, anxiousness, mistrust, and a sense of deprivation in their marriage.

The drama also dealt with the heartbreaking realities of how easily families can fall apart, which also got under her skin.

The drama portrays the detailed process of a family falling apart. I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever be able to get married myself.

The actress added that even her friends became reluctant to date, and “one friend who has a baby said she had a hard time mentally after watching the drama.”
