Among those in attendance was SEVENTEEN‘s Mingyu, who looked dapper in an all-black outfit. His comma-styled hair emphasized the idol’s glowing visuals.
All eyes were on Mingyu throughout the event, especially due to his viral interactions with BLACKPINK‘s Lisa, who was also in attendance. During one of these interactions, eagle-eyed netizens couldn’t help but notice Mingyu’s phone lock screen was visible.

On closer examination, fans discovered the background was of bodybuilder and Mr. Olympia competitor Chris Bumstead. The bodybuilding is the current reigning five-time Mr. Olympia Classic Physique Champion, known amongst the sport’s followers for being humble and “down-to-Earth.”
Some reacted negatively to his lock screen, saying it was “weird” or “embarrassing.” Bodybuilding culture has often had a negative connotation due to the “hypermasculine” attitudes of some involved, like the notorious Andrew Tate.

For others, it was not a surprise that Mingyu, a known gym enthusiast, would have an image of a bodybuilder as inspiration as his phone’s lock screen. Many felt the negativity was hypocritical as many K-Pop fans have lock screens that can be just as revealing of people they technically do not know.
not even a month ago mingyu talked about how he removed the hat and carats printed his pics out and teased. we all tweeted about how uncomfortable he must've felt but you guys are again taking this joke too far. atp he'll be self-conscious all the time.pic.twitter.com/1ODDyu4AMv https://t.co/pWDpidH7Ee

You all are such weirdos for firstly zooming in on his lock screen to find what the wallpaper is?!
Some ppl are doing too much in the qrts as if you all don't have your idols as your wallpapers too. https://t.co/4eYqrA1PjO— Cherry (@I_heart_svt) March 14, 2024
kpop stans who have photocards on the backs of their phones and random idols as their lock screen while walking around with their "subtle" kpop merch acting like mingyu having the image of someone HE admires as his lock screen is weird is so fucking stupid.
he's just like y'all. https://t.co/JBC3RGoX0r— millie || 😀🌼 (@millie102685) March 14, 2024
