SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan Once Asked For His Childhood Performance To Be Deleted—Here’s Why
SEVENTEEN‘s Seungkwan has been talented all his life, but he once asked for one of his childhood performances to be wiped from the internet.
Seungkwan recently appeared on the variety show My Little Old Boy with his fellow SEVENTEEN member, Vernon. My Little Old Boy focuses on celebrities and their mothers, and the moms provide commentary while they watch videos of their children.
The host, Seo Jang Hoon, mentioned that he had heard “something very interesting” about Seungkwan. As it turned out, Seungkwan had appeared on a children’s music show as a kid in 2009.
Two years later, in 2011, Seungkwan left a message on the show’s website asking them to take the performance down.
He asked the showrunners to “please delete the footage” because he was “really embarrassed.” Unfortunately, Seungkwan’s friends were teasing him about the performance.
Seungkwan explained the situation a bit more. He said he was in sixth grade in 2009, and he was in middle school in 2011. He felt that he had matured over the course of those two years, and he “couldn’t stand” how he looked two years ago.
Seungkwan’s determination to have the video deleted led him to use his mom’s online ID to message the music show’s showrunners.
Although young Seungkwan may have wanted to wipe his early performance from the internet, he went on to become the icon we know him as today!
