Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men Covered BTS Jimin’s “Serendipity”

He also couldn’t help but praise the boys of BTS.

Shawn Stockman, member of legendary R&B trio Boyz II Men from the ’90s and early ’00s has covered BTS Jimin‘s “Serendipity” on Instagram Live.

He sang the song in Korean, despite now knowing how to speak the language. He says that he’s “trying his hand at Korean” to be able to sing the song.

He sings the start of the song.

As well as the pre-chorus.

He also mentions that no matter what language a song is in, if it’s beautiful, then it’s beautiful.

He also mentions how successful BTS is, saying that the K-Pop group has all the “confirmation in the world.”

The Boyz II Men singer also posted a photo of him listening to “Serendipity” in his car onto his Instagram account.

Not only that, but he also attended BTS’s concert at the Rose Bowl. He even posted numerous Instagram stories of the boys performing on stage.

During his Instagram live, he mentions that the BTS concert was one of the best concerts he’s ever seen in his life. That says a lot since he’s been to a lot of concerts in his lifetime and though he was familiar with some of the songs, he didn’t actually fully know any song. Yet he still managed to enjoy the concert.

Just another example of how BTS was able to transcend language and get people to realize how beautiful their music is!
