SHINee Turns SMTOWN LIVE 2022 In Tokyo Into Their Personal Fan Meeting After Going Off Script
SMTOWN LIVE 2022 returned to Tokyo for three nights of amazing performances by SM Entertainment‘s artists.
SMTOWN LIVE 2022 has had three shows so far. The first took place in Korea, and the two most recent concerts were at Tokyo Dome in Japan.
Each show has had memorable moments, including when all eight members of Girls’ Generation reunited at the show in Korea and performed at the annual concert for the first time in five years.
Fans loved seeing the interactions between SM Entertainment’s long-time labelmates, including touching moments with fellow second-generation groups Girls’ Generation, Super Junior and SHINee.
SHINee‘s Taemin is currently completing his military service, and leader Onew was unable to attend the concert in Korea due to prior schedules in Japan. Luckily, Onew could rejoin his group for the shows in Tokyo.
SHINee is known for their strong group chemistry and sibling-like bond, and they continued to prove how close they are during the shows in Tokyo.
The members all have playful and sometimes mischievous personalities, so it can be chaotic in the best way when they’re together.

While giving their ending ment speech, they earned attention for going off script and proving they’re experts at fan service after years in the industry. Other groups were seen referencing teleprompters at times while speaking in Japanese, but SHINee, who made their Japanese debut in 2011, had a firm grasp on the language. This allowed them to have more off-script moments that created great memories.
They hilariously poked fun at each other and seemed to turn the show into their own personal fan meeting.

During one of their off-script moments, Onew convinced Minho to greet fans with “you’re always my hope,” but after Minho said it, he got embarrassed and jokingly pushed Onew.

Fans loved the playful interactions and how humble the group has remained after fourteen years.

At the end of the concert, when all artists gathered, SHINee continued their lovable shenanigans. SHINee’s Key expertly located a fan camera, ensuring Onew gave the lucky fan his best pose.

They also pretended to descend below stage when they were on-screen until the camera panned out, exposing their trick.
