SHINee’s Taemin Shared How Things Have Changed Since Jonghyun’s Passing
SHINee’s Taemin talked about the late Jonghyun in an interview during his promotions for his second mini album Want. It has been approximately 2.5 years since Jonghyun’s sudden departure from this world and Taemin stated that he is still often reminded of his fellow member.
I feel (the empty space) every so often. It comes to me all of a sudden.

He also indicated that he has, however, reflected and healed for the most part.
I’m okay most of the time but still, it comes to my mind from time to time.

In terms of SHINee’s promotions without Jonghyun, Taemin stated that the team members have decided to continue to do their best and hoped that fans would treat them the same way they have until now as well.
In 2018, SHINee released 3 albums. I think we thought (of him) more during those times. We thought, “Let’s show them rather than hide it.” We talked amongst each other that we should act the same way and hoped that people would treat us the same way too.

Taemin explained that as the SHINee members have begun to enlist in the military starting from Onew, to Key and Minho, they will probably begin promotions once everyone is released from their military service.
We will promote together when everyone is back from the military.

SHINee’s official Twitter account even tweeted about Onew, Key, and Minho’s military discharge dates!
