Somi Spills On The First Time A Stranger Asked For Her Number
K-Pop soloist Somi always impresses fans with her immense talent, stunning visuals, and great personality. So it’s no surprise that many fans admire her charms.
But while appearing on GOT7 BamBam‘s series, Bam’s House, Somi shared a story about how even someone who doesn’t know she’s an idol ended up in awe of her.
BamBam has admitted that Somi is one of his closest idol friends, so Somi, of course, had no issues getting comfortable enough to tell BamBam about the recent time a man unexpectedly asked for her number.
When Somi was out to get food with her mom on Christmas, someone approached her despite Somi wearing a cap and mask to hide her identity.
As Somi has been in the public eye since she appeared on the JYP Entertainment survival show that formed TWICE, Sixteen, it’s normal for her to be easily recognized.
But rather than knowing she was an idol, the guy approached her because he liked her appearance.
Of course, BamBam immediately had to know if the man was handsome.
Which Somi hesitated before denying.
And in response to his question, Somi tried to get him to recognize her…
Which didn’t work.
And while BamBam playfully teased Somi that she has “self-confidence,” Somi explained that she hoped if the man recognized her, he wouldn’t be upset by her rejection.
And, not having recognized her, the man did seem sad that Somi didn’t give him her number.
Still, Somi admitted that while she knows many idols who get asked for their number a lot, it was a first-time experience for her.
Because she’s so widely recognized, rather than having strangers ask for her number, Somi usually gets asked for pictures instead. So even if it was an unexpected situation, it certainly makes for an entertaining story.
