“Squid Game” Actress Jung Ho Yeon & Rookie Boy Group Idol Look Uncannily Alike, Netizens Say
Unless you keep up with the South Korean modeling scene, you may have never seen first-time actress Jung Ho Yeon before watching Netflix‘s hit new K-Drama, Squid Game. But if her face looks familiar, maybe that’s because of her uncanny visual similarity to a popular rookie boy group idol…
Since Squid Game dropped on Netflix this month, Jung Ho Yeon has fast become one of the most popular actresses from the show. The truly amazing part? This was actually her first acting gig! The 27-year-old star, who played Kang Sae Byeok (player No. 067) in Squid Game, has been dubbed “Korea’s next top model” by Vogue, but she only made her acting debut this year.
That said, some viewers still felt her face seemed familiar, even though they’d never seen her before.
If you thought the same but couldn’t put your finger on who she looks like, Korean and global netizens may have your answer…
It’s ENHYPEN‘s maknae Ni-Ki! Just look at the uncanny resemblance between the two when you see them side-by-side.
From their uniquely shaped eyes to their full lips, it’s undeniable that these two have similar vibes.
15-year-old Ni-Ki is Japanese, so there’s definitely no familial relationship, but everyone is shocked by how similar their gorgeous visuals are. One post on the Korean community site Pann about the pair looking alike reached over 150,000 views in just two days. Meanwhile, on Twitter, thousands of international viewers agreed that the pair look like siblings or cousins.

Some have even suggested that Ni-Ki looks like a combination of Jung Ho Yeon and Stray Kids‘ Hyunjin.
