How Stray Kids’ Bang Chan Taught Hyunjin To Be A More Charismatic Performer
Stray Kids‘ Bang Chan and Hyunjin released the track “Red Lights” as part of a series called “Howl in Harmony.” The series focused on giving fans a behind-the-scenes look into Stray Kids’ song production process.
Han, Seungmin, and I.N released the sad, melodic track “Gone Away” for their collaboration.
Lee Know, Changbin, and Felix produced the upbeat summer song “Surfin’.”
And Bang Chan and Hyunjin decided to show off a sexy concept with “Red Lights.”
“Red Lights” was certainly a favorite among fans who embraced the more mature concept and captivating choreography.
"Red Lights (Bang Chan, Hyunjin)" is now the most streamed B-Side by a JYPE Artist on Spotify, surpassing "Easy"!

In a recent episode of “2 Kids Room,” Bang Chan and Hyunjin share that it wasn’t surprising that when they found out they were a duo, they went for a sexier concept.
Hyunjin explains that the concept “captured all of [their] chemistry.”
I loved “Red Lights.” I think “Red Lights…” It captured all of our chemistry. It was like our starting point. “Red Lights” was the starting point for all of our other songs.
-Hyunjin
And Bang Chan believes that, compared to many of the songs he’s worked on, the process for creating the track “was so smooth.”
And the making of “Red Lights” was so smooth. It was so clean, and it turned out so good. I was really excited for it. To be able to do all this with Hyunjin, who I love so much.
-Bang Chan
And beyond simply the music production process, their chemistry extended to even the music video.
I felt that during our MV shoot too.
-Bang Chan
Hyunjin explains that their chemistry, especially for a more mature concept, only makes sense because Bang Chan has been his “sexiness teacher.”
But ever since our trainee days, you’ve been the one to teach me about sexiness.
-Hyunjin
Hyunjin quickly clarifies that he means Bang Chan taught him how to be “sexy musically.”
Like being sexy musically.
-Hyunjin
Since the two of them always have liked similar styles of music and talked a lot about “groovy songs” while they were trainees.
We’ve talked about groovy songs since our trainee days. So many conversations.
-Hyunjin
And Hyunjin really used those conversations to help define who he was as an artist, even reflecting what he learned from Bang Chan in his dancing.
My dancing skills improved a lot thanks to those conversations. My ear for music improved a lot too.
-Hyunjin
So fans of Hyunjin’s charisma on stage and embracing of more mature concepts should be especially grateful to Bang Chan.
So really, you’re my teacher of sexiness.
