The Struggle To Film “TOMBOY” Reminds (G)I-DLE Of Another Music Video

They showed their incredible professionalism in both music videos!

(G)I-DLE‘s latest comeback, their first full album, I NEVER DIE, truly showcased all of the members’ incredible talents, and the album achieved immense success, with the group being the first to get a Realtime All-Kill (RAK) in 2022.

(G)I-DLE has been showcasing the process of filming their music video for the title track “TOMBOY” through a series of videos uploaded to their official YouTube channel.

Previously Yuqi and Shuhua even revealed that the iconic choreography that has become popular with fans and idols alike…

… Had to be changed to accommodate one of the members.

The latest behind-the-scenes video focused heavily on the members filming their outdoor dance scene together.

Which created some stunning visuals in the music video.

But, in reality, the scenes were incredibly difficult for the members to film. The outdoor scenes were filmed at night to have a cool atmosphere, but, unfortunately, not only was it night time, but it was also incredibly cold.

Before doing their first take, the members were huddled in a tent near portable heaters, bundled up in jackets and trying to stay warm. Miyeon even suggests that Yuqi and Shuhua run in place with her to try and keep warm.

Yuqi also jokes with the staff, telling them that if they aren’t dancing well, it’s not because they didn’t practice enough “it’s because of the cold.”

Which their choreographer then teases that they’ll make them practice more.

Minnie shares that although the filming is brutal, it instantly reminded her of filming for another of their music videos…

… Their debut song “LATATA.”

And Minnie isn’t the only one to think so. Later in the video, Yuqi also brings up the “LATATA” filming, calling out Miyeon and Shuhua for having delayed shooting the first scene for three hours because of the cold.

But, as Miyeon says, the members have certainly grown up a lot since their debut.

Which, according to Shuhua, is only natural since it was their beginning.

But both in their debut music video filming and in their most recent, (G)I-DLE truly proved that they are incredible professionals.
