The Time BTS’s J-Hope Randomly Showed Up At The USA National Spelling Bee
From the White House to National Spelling Bees, the BTS members had a very eventful week back in June 2022.
Though the members didn’t appear in person at the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee, J-Hope‘s name still made a hilarious and unexpected cameo when the word “Tyrolienne” was presented to then-14-year-old Harini Logan of Texas. And for your information, the word refers to a traditional folk song characterized by its yodel.
When she asked to hear the word in a sentence, one of the MCs gave an example featuring someone ARMYs know all too well.
Carol had that dream again last night: The one where she’s at the BTS concert in Vienna and J-Hope invites her on stage to join him in yodeling a pitch perfect tyrolienne.

Unable to hide her smile, she immediately regained focus and answered correctly — and eventually won the entire thing!
These pop culture icons are making their way into all sorts of events…
AMAZING!!!!!!!! A speller asked the word-giver at the Scripps National Spelling Bee to use "tyroliene" in a sentence and the sentence involved BTS and j-hope. And the speller immediately smiled – and spelled the word correctly. Rock on, baby (literally) ARMY!! 💜
