The beautiful Jeju Island has more than meets the eye, deep underground there is a hidden maze, of giant lava tubes that span for miles. A lava tube is a natural conduit formed by flowing lava which moves beneath the hardened surface of a lava flow. After volcanoes go extinct, tubes will drain and be left as long tunnel like chasms underground. In Jeju korea lies the Geomunoreum Lava Tube System, the 100,000 to 300,000 year old tubes have people coming from all corners of the world just to take a peek! Check out photos below.
