TWICE’s Dahyun Regrets Her Image During “SIXTEEN” For One Reason
TWICE‘s Dahyun is well known for her goofy humor, talented rapping, and captivating stage presence.
And while she’s refined her confident, playful image over the years, Dahyun admits that she gave off a very different vibe during SIXTEEN, the JYP Entertainment survival show that decided TWICE’s debut lineup.
In a recent interview, Dahyun was asked what she would tell her SIXTEEN self if she got the chance.
If I could tell something to myself at that time I would say ‘Stop spacing out.’
— Dahyun
Dahyun explains that although she didn’t intend it, her face on the show looked really angry whenever she was simply spacing out.
Because me spacing out, saying nothing, looks mad at something.
— Dahyun
And because of her unintentional facial expressions, Dahyun felt like she gave off a “cold-hearted” vibe that, of course, doesn’t match her actual personality at all.
And [I] look like I am cold-hearted.
— Dahyun
And so, she ended up hearing the criticism a lot, which makes her wish she could go back and show her true personality from the beginning.
I [heard] that a lot. I wasn’t mad or cold hearted. It was just me spacing out. So, I want to say ‘Stop spacing out. Stay with a smiley face.’
— Dahyun
But even though Dahyun may have regrets, she’s certainly proven her kindhearted image over the years, so she has nothing to worry about.
