TWICE’s Jeongyeon Reveals How DAY6’s Young K Helped Her Pass A Chinese Language Exam As Trainees
On an episode of KBS Cool FM‘s Kiss the Radio, TWICE‘s Jihyo, Nayeon, Sana, and Jeongyeon appeared as the episode’s star guests!
Since the show’s host, DAY6‘s Young K, and TWICE are label mates (JYP Entertainment), many fans of the radio show asked questions regarding their trainee days. One fan asked about the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test).
When Jeongyeon was a trainee taking the Chinese listening exam, she copied what Young K said and said it (as her answer for the exam). Please ask her if she remembers.

The members started to laugh and Nayeon commented, “I know what this is. We went to take the exam together.” Young K confirmed this and shared, “Right. We were in the same classroom together.”
Nayeon further explained that this was when they were in the beginner/intermediate level of Chinese. Besides the members already named, Nayeon revealed DAY6’s Sungjin and other trainees took the exam with them as well.
Finally, Jeongyeon shared her experience with the exam. Jeongyeon revealed that as trainees, Young K was very good at speaking Chinese, Korean, and English!
Younghyun (Young K’s real name) oppa was in front of me, behind me, or next to me. But, Younghyun oppa was so good at Chinese, good at English, and good at Korean. Good at everything!

Jeongyeon explained that while she was struggling with the oral part of the exam, she was able to pass thanks to Young K.
The thing is, I didn’t know what the answer was and listened next to me, the thing that Younghan oppa said. So after I heard it, I said it one beat slower. So I passed. I remember. Thank you.
