TWICE’s Jihyo Was Shook By A Sudden Realization About NMIXX’s Maknae Kyujin
If you’re a fan of TWICE, you might know that their leader, Jihyo, joined JYP Entertainment at a very young age.
She became a trainee in July of 2005. Since she was born on February 1, 1997, this means that she was only 8 years old when she joined the company!
TWICE didn’t debut until 2015, so she was 18 by the time that her career really began after a training period of about ten years.
Just last night, the TWICE leader made a shocking discovery that she couldn’t help but share with fans on Bubble regarding the time she joined JYP Entertainment compared to the age of NMIXX‘s maknae, Kyujin.
Kyujin is currently 15 years old, which is fairly young for a person to debut as a K-Pop idol. However, what’s particularly shocking is that she was born on May 26, 2006 — nearly a whole year after Jihyo joined JYP Entertainment.
Jihyo’s reaction to this realization is understandably bewildered.
Jihyo: Just now I think I heard something shocking
JH: NMIXX’s maknae… Was born after I entered the company…?
JH: Eyy
JH: Because I entered the company when I was very young right??
JH: I’m shocked at how young she is
Though their age gap is only about 9 years, it’s wild to think that Jihyo was already training to become an idol before Kyujin even entered the world!
