TWICE's Nayeon Didn't Want To Be A Celebrity As A Child—Here's What She Wanted Instead

TWICE‘s Nayeon is one of K-Pop’s most recognized celebrities at the moment. When she was young, however, she surprisingly had no plans of being a star!

Having heard about this, Elle Korea asked Nayeon in a recent interview if there was a grain of truth to it.

Is it true that you didn’t expect to be a celebrity when you were young?

Nayeon confirmed the rumor and explained why she once felt that way.

When she was young, she didn’t like being the center of attention. Celebrities are always in the spotlight, so it was naturally out of the question for her!

I don’t think I liked being the center of attention when I was little.

Instead, she wanted to be an editor for a magazine. Elle Korea clarified, “Was it really your dream to be a magazine editor?”

Although it once was, she now believes that being a magazine editor is definitely not suited for her.

I think I’d be in big trouble if I became a magazine editor.

Nayeon eventually changed her mind about being an editor. She became much more confident in front of others with her experience in the entertainment industry even if there are still times when she feels shy.
