TWICE Reveals How The Wonder Girls Influenced The Group During Their Trainee Days
TWICE has made it clear in the past just how much they respect admire their JYP Entertainment seniors Wonder Girls and even listed them as a group they’d love to get advice from.
In an interview on the Zach Sang Show, Zach Sang explained how he thought that TWICE was seen as girl group loyalty amongst Destiny’s Child, BLACKPINK, and Wonder Girls.
After hearing this statement, the members replied that they felt honored to be put in the same category as their K-Pop seniors.
Zach then asked whether the members had learned anything from Wonder Girls during their careers. Jihyo explained that that, as trainees, the group would perform Wonder Girl tracks.
When we were trainees, we almost always used songs by the Wonder Girls. And we covered a lot of their songs in our showcases.

Nayeon then added that it wasn’t just singing the group’s songs that helped them. In particular, the members also attended a lot of Wonder Girls concerts and added, “It was a great learning experience for us as trainees.”
There is no doubt that both groups are equally as talented. With a new crop of trainee idols coming up, many of them may just be performing TWICE songs and watching their performances for inspiration.
