Before TXT debuted, member Taehyun was already destined for stardom. Taehyun revealed that he used to be a child model and made his modeling debut in 2004 or 2005.

Although he doesn’t have a lot of memories from those days, he does remember that the routine of going to daycare and photoshoots was normal for him. He explained that he didn’t know it was a different lifestyle from what most children are accustomed to.

Once he entered grade school, he realized that wasn’t the same reality as most of his classmates.

On a show last year, Taehyun revealed he didn’t believe that his child modeling days had any impact on his popularity in school but hilariously confirmed he was popular with casting agents when he was younger.

Taehyun explained precisely how popular he was, revealing that he was almost selected to be the voice actor for Sosuke in the Korean language version of the Studio Ghibli film Ponyo.

Ponyo is currently the fifth highest-grossing anime film of all time. Even TXT’s Yeonjun and Hueningkai were shocked at the surprising reveal. Taehyun explained that it came down to him and one other boy, but ultimately there was one thing standing in his way.

At the time, Taehyun had lost a baby tooth, which unfortunately affected his pronunciation.

Although it didn’t work out that time, he shared he received multiple opportunities for projects like that but decided to focus on music instead. His focus on music led to his debut as TXT’s Taehyun, and now he continues to prove he was meant to be a star.

Could you picture Taehyun as Ponyo‘s lively and lovable Sosuke?
