Here’s The Heartwarming Reason TXT’s Yeonjun Won’t Cover BTS Suga’s “Daechwita”
On TXT‘s TO DO series, the group proved how much they were fanboys of BTS‘s Suga by loving “Daechwita”. Since Yeonjun admitted he’d seen the music video countless times and even imitated an iconic scene, some wondered if the idol would ever do a cover.
When Yeonjun read the request to cover the Agust D song during a live broadcast, he gently shut the idea down. He promptly responded, “No. This song is…”
Yeonjun pointed out that no one except for Suga could do the unique track justice. He said, “‘Daechwita’ is a rap song by Suga. It’s the song that only Suga can express well.”
With a warm smile, Yeonjun added, “I’m not going to cover that song.”
Although it’s natural to want to cover an artist you admire, the fact that Yeonjun refuses out of respect for Suga reaches a whole new level of admiration.
