Actor Byeon Woo Seok has slowly but steadily made his way into the hearts of K-Drama audiences with his commendable performances, including back-to-back hits like 20th Century Girl and Strong Girl Nam Soon.

Byeon’s portrayal of a cold-blooded criminal, Ryu Si O, in Strong Girl Nam Soon has significantly boosted his popularity recently. His breathtaking visuals and on-screen dark persona, laced with a softness reserved only for the female protagonist, created a perfect fanfic-worthy character that viewers couldn’t help falling for.

But how is Byeon Woo Seok as a lover in real life?

The actor himself has revealed details about his romantic history on a few occasions in the past. Previously, he had shared about his first love in an interview during 20th Century Girl promotions.

She was someone I was close with, but I never expressed my feelings. That is why I could relate to Woon Ho. Thinking back then, I don’t know why I didn’t. At the time, I thought the fact I liked someone in itself was special. I am not like that anymore. I try to express my feelings.

Now, another clip of him dishing out on his love life has gone viral on social media. During his appearance on the popular Korean variety show Running Man a year ago, Byeon shared an anecdote involving his ex-girlfriend.

Byeon recalled an incident when he was together with his former girlfriend and his close friend when the friend noticed something stuck on the girl’s face and immediately went on to remove it for her. Though it was a simple gesture, Byeon admitted that it bothered him so much that his hands turned into a fist without realizing it.

The other cast members on the show took Byeon’s side, saying the friend could have asked him to remove it instead. When Joo Woo Jae tried reasoning that the friend might have done it reflexively, the rest of the cast shushed him up real quick.

 

As the clip resurfaced on social media, fans’ imaginations ran astray, with many wishing it was them instead of the girl in concern.
