How VIVIZ Avoided Their Strict Company-Mandated Diets

VIVIZ recently appeared on the new variety program Curator, answering questions about their past promotions as GFRIEND, their meeting with American rapper and singer Lil Uzi Vert, and their new mini-album, VERSUS.
While filming their Curator episode, host HoonD asked the members about the phrase “starving by day, noble by night,” and the members explained what it meant.
VIVIZ’s Eunha revealed that when they promoted as GFRIEND, their former company placed many “dietary restrictions” on them, forcing the members to devise different ways to get more food.
Eunha shared that whenever the group’s manager went into the bathroom to “wash up,” the members would take the batteries out of their door locks so they wouldn’t make a sound when opened.
When it was quiet, the members would often sneak to the refrigerator, opening and closing the fridge as they stayed on alert, listening for the manager.
Eunha revealed that she used to sneak out every day to get snacks at the nearby convenience store.
HoonD shared that some of the Curator staff members had witnessed the three VIVIZ members in a nearby park, and the members confirmed they often went to the park to eat.
Member Umji added that their former company would send her on walks to the park to “manage [her] weight.” She and her fellow members often went to the convenience store by the park instead, buying food to eat while they ran around the park.
HoonD shared that he heard the GFRIEND manager was “scary,” but SinB revealed the manager had treated them entirely differently when they began promoting as VIVIZ.
Instead of encouraging them to diet, the GFRIEND manager bought them food and told them to “stop losing weight.”
During the episode, HoonD surprised SinB when he asked about her “ex-boyfriend,” who she had never met.
