VIVIZ’s Umji Carries Around A Particular Lipstick And Here’s Why

In a recent interview with GQ KOREA, the members of VIVIZ sat down and showed off the items that they regularly carry around in their bags.

Their items were pretty expected, ranging from headphones to perfumes and cosmetics. But one lipstick from Umji, in particular, had an extra special backstory.

Eunha teases Umji at first since her friend seems so excited to share the story.

And SinB also can’t help but comment on how many items their maknae (youngest member) seems to have in her bag since she has to find the lipstick.

But undeterred, Umji presses forward, pulling out the lipstick and starting the story of how she met up with soloist Somi to eat at the food court of a mall.

She explains that you want to touch up your lipstick after you eat a meal, which Eunha and SinB agreed with.

Umji then explains how she went to put on the lipstick she’d brought with her, not thinking much of it.

But suddenly, Somi told her that she needed to “change [her] lip color.”

Somi went on to explain that she thought a lower chroma, the intensity of color, would look better on Umji.

Somi seemed to definitely know what she was talking about. Continuing to add that she thought Umji’s lipstick’s “saturation needs to be lower than that. [So] it’ll look luxurious and pretty.”

Umji was grateful for her friend’s advice but thought that she would purchase a new lipstick color later in the future.

But it seemed that Somi had other plans since while Somi was looking for her own cosmetics after the two had eaten, she also bought a new lipstick for Umji to try.

Because of Somi’s kindness, Umji said that she will “use [the lipstick] diligently.”

She goes on to explain that the color Somi picked for her is slightly rose-colored.

And that because of the funny story behind the lipstick, Somi had told Umji to make sure to introduce it on a “what’s in my bag” video when she got the chance.

And while the story was entertaining, it definitely goes to show that Somi is a great friend, willing to look out for her other friends even so far as their lipstick color.
