With YG’s Future Uncertain, It May Be up to BLACKPINK to Save the Day
BLACKPINK was slated to comeback March of 2019, a month ahead of their Coachella performance and world tour.
Even though YG is notorious for cancelling and postponing comebacks, many concerned fans actually urged YG to postpone so that their comeback would not be possibly overshadowed by the scandal.
Nevertheless, in a surprise teaser released on March 24, YG revealed that BLACKPINK’s comeback would indeed be happening. After posting the teaser, YG’s stock started to rise again.
BLACKPINK will make history as the first female K-Pop group to headline the Coachella Music Festival on April 12 and 19. After their first performance at Coachella, they will embark on the North American leg of their “IN YOUR AREA” World Tour.
Amidst scandals and dropping stocks, YG is making no plans to slow down in 2019. Along with BLACKPINK’s promotions they are also set to debut Treasure 13, the boy group formed through the YG Treasure Box survival show, in May.
Right now, BLINKs around the world are eagerly awaiting “Kill This Love” and look forward to seeing BLACKPINK at one of the stops on their world tour.
