Zico Gets Honest On The Solo Song That Earned Him The Most Money

Zico sat down for an interview with TheKStarNextDoor to promote his new song “SPOT!” (Featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie).

At one point, he was asked by MC Jonathan to name the song that brought him the most money in terms of revenue.

You must get a lot for the copyright. What’s the song that brings you the most? If this song were a human, you’d kiss him.

He replied differently than expected. Instead of naming a past iconic song of his, Zico said it was his new one that would earn him the most. He was confident that “SPOT!” would take over even his most viral hits.

Honestly, I want to kiss all my songs…[but] it’s probably my new song.

His confidence was not unfounded. “SPOT!” reached the top of digital charts soon after its release in April and is still staying strong a month later. The combination of a good song with Jennie’s and his star power made for a sure-fire hit.

Zico later confirmed that he was talking about money in the conversation about songs he would “kiss” if they were human.

Jonathan: You just said your new song will bring you the most money.

Zico: Yes.

After “SPOT!” Zico revealed that “Any Song” (2019) earned him the most in royalties.

It became a viral sensation after he and MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa danced the key choreography together, creating the genre of K-Pop dance challenges that fans know today.
