After Accusations Of PLAGIARIZING Girls’ Generation Fans Flock To TWICE’s Defense
Upon releasing the first teaser photo for their first comeback “Cheer Up,” rookie girl group TWICE was immediately accused of copying Girls’ Generation‘s cheerleader concept.
And while many agreed that the JYP Entertainment group’s outfits were somewhat similar to the SM Entertainent group’s costumes from “Oh!,” netizens defended TWICE from accusations that the similar outfits meant that the group was plagiarizing Girls’ Generation. Instead, netizens explained that the cheerleader concept has been widely used and does not belong to Girls’ Generation. In fact, some netizens even claimed that the TWICE members look even prettier in the outfits than Girls’ Generation did.
