MAMAMOO has dropped a new single ahead of their official October comeback!
The girl group has released their pre-single, New York, on September 21st. This comes just weeks following the release of their first unit single Angel, DABDAB in which Solar and Wheein made up the Angel Line and Moonbyul and Hwasa separated off as the Rapper Line.
The leading track “New York” has a minimalist sound that conveys the same funky and unique feeling that fans have come to expect from MAMAMOO. Additionally, the lyrics expresses the 13-hour difference between New York and South Korea. This is further shown through their music video where the girls undergo a stylish transformation and unleash their New Yorker side.
MAMAMOO’s upcoming October comeback will be their second group promotion this year since releasing their 1st album Melting in February 2016. The girl group achieved their highest peak in popularity with their title track “You’re The Best,” gaining an perfect all-kill on the digital charts. Since then, they have successfully followed individual and unit schedules since then. Thus their group comeback is much look forward to by fans.
