JYP Entertainment drops trailer for new girl group survival show “Sixteen”
JYP Entertainment has officially released the first teaser for its upcoming girl group survival show Sixteen following a delay that pushed for a May premiere date.
The Mnet survival show will feature sixteen candidates to become part of JYP Entertainment’s next top girl group and will be the first girl group the label has debuted since miss A back in 2010.
In the trailer, J.Y Park noted that the label looks specifically for natural and healthy stars rather than curated and designed stars which sets the company apart from other big name labels in the industry. He also states that the element he is most excited for is the fact that he does not yet know which members will be chosen.
One trainee will be revealed each day starting on April 13th until April 28th when all of the candidates have been revealed.
It was previously reported that seven JYP Entertainment trainees will be pitted against nine newcomer trainees as the 16 candidates compete for a spot on the new girl group.
