Lovelyz appears on “MelOn Premiere Showcase”
On November 18th, Woollim Entertainment‘s new girl group Lovelyz appeared on MelOn Premiere Showcase to promote their debut album.
The girls started off their showcase with a performance of “Good Night Like Yesterday,” before the members promptly took turns introducing themselves. Because of recent controversy, however, member Jisoo did not make an appearance for the showcase.
Lovelyz kept with their debut concept and appeared on the show dressed as cute school girls. Speaking honestly to their fans in the audience, the girls revealed that they were quite nervous before their performance, despite having practiced extra the night before. In their interview, they discussed their debut album Girls’ Invasion, explaining that because the songs come from a variety of genres, it shouldn’t be boring to listen to!
They followed up next with a performance of “Good-bye Chapter 1,” which member JIN described as a song that teenage girls will really be able to relate to. The tempo of the song was definitely a lot more upbeat than “Good Night Like Yesterday,” and showed the charm and energy of the group.
To allow their fans to be able to relate to them more, the members of Lovelyz also revealed interesting facts about each other to the audience, which ranged from Ji Ae‘s obsession with ice cream to JIN’s dream of opening a fruit store with her future husband.
The girls ended the show with a performance of their title track “Candy Jelly Love.”
Meanwhile, Woollim Entertainment also recently released the first episode of Lovelyz Diary onto their YouTube channel for fans to get to know the girls even better! Are you a fan of Lovelyz yet? Check out their appearance on MelOn Premiere Showcase below!
